PC Virtual LAB

Subject: PC Virtual LAB a computer assembly virtual reality educational game
Abstract: The virtual reality educational game PC Virtual LAB was created in response to a clearly identified need: to increase the success in learning basic computer skills in a very large number of students of technical degrees. In basic computer classes, practical exercises on the components of a computer are not usually carried out, due to the cost that would imply that students would have access to open a computer, remove components or replace them with others. In this first stage, the video game provides a better understanding of the function and main characteristics of the components of a computer. These concepts are recurrent in various basic computer science subjects. This virtual reality educational game allows “doing” instead of just observing. Students can learn experientially and advance at their own pace. In addition, the use of virtual reality leads to greater interest and engagement compared to conventional learning environments.
